About Cory

Cory Blickenstaff is a highly experienced physical therapist, specializing in orthopedic physical therapy and occupational health. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2001 and has since dedicated his career to helping people manage pain and improve their mobility.

In 2004, Cory transitioned into on-site occupational health, where he discovered a passion for assisting individuals in their workplace environments. This inspired him to establish Forward Motion Physical Therapy in 2006, aiming to offer a distinct approach to pain management.

Cory is board-certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS). He was also among the inaugural group to obtain the occupational health practitioner certificate from the Orthopedic Academy of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Within the APTA, Cory is actively involved in the Occupational Health Special Interest Group of the Orthopedic Academy, serving as the chair of the practice committee. Previously, he held the role of communications chair within the same group.

Cory’s dedication to advancing the field is evident through his contributions as an author, educator, and presenter. He has written articles and monographs on pain science and occupational health physical therapy, sharing his knowledge nationwide through teaching engagements. Additionally, Cory co-hosted the popular Pain Science and Sensibility podcast for several years.

Cory is passionate about using movement as a means to help people improve their ability to live their lives and in teaching the skills necessary to navigate to recovery from musculoskeletal issues. He loves the outdoors, is a proud father of 2 sons and lucky husband to his beautiful wife.
